This week’s challenge is creating rituals of fun and joy. When we spend too much time worrying, analyzing and trying to control our lives, we lose energy and disconnect from the spontaneous creative spirit that feeds us. Consciously lightening up allows our brains to relax and pump out the serotonin and oxytocin that makes us feel happy and more connected to others.
Here are some suggestions:
Since Beltane or May Day is coming up this week, why not create a Maypole and dance, sing and celebrate life. Originally it was a major holiday to celebrate fertility, but this can mean fertility of projects or creativity as well. Click HERE to see how I did this ritual on my roof in Manhattan with a group of kids.
Have a birthday party for your inner child; Another fun ritual is to get the toys you loved as a kid (Legos, finger-paints, dollhouse, karaoke set, clay, balls) and have a birthday party for your inner child. Invite your friends and have a blast.
Fun Beauty Ritual anyone? It is said that if you bathe your face in the early May dew you will have beauty and health for the year.
Post your results with #RitualChallenge and you will be entered into our contest to win a free coaching session with me! And don’t forget to join our Facebook Group The Ritual Cafe.
See you next Tuesday as we move into week four of the Ritual Challenge!
