I have become exceptionally aware of how color and scent play a major role in setting up a particular mood or state of mind.
For over 6,000 years, certain plants were worn or sniffed to heal the body, attract love or change one’s state of consciousness. Today, scientific studies have confirmed that aromatherapy oils may energize, calm, rejuvenate, balance, purify and repair the body and mind.
Why does color matter you may ask? Well, colors are certain wavelengths of electromagnetic energy seen through our eyes. Since everything is made up of electromagnetic energy vibrating at different frequencies, color can calm you down or give you that extra zing you need to go out and shine.
As soon as I spray my “Happiness Spray “ in my mother’s room at the care center, she seems to perk up and the staff always comments on how good it smells. And many of you have commented on how nice she looks when she wears turquoise, red or blue. Orange, one of my favorite colors, is the color of happiness. Even prison officials have researched and concluded that inmates are calmer when the walls are painted pink.
Watch today’s video below and you will learn what colors create certain moods so that you will have more tools to move through life happier and more effectively.
Saturday April 22nd is Earth Day: show your love for the earth by planting a garden, making a meal of local veggies, recycling, picking up trash in your local park or blessing the trees. There are also many global meditations happening so check out your local calendar for events in your area.
